SAMPLES

In an attempt for more people to buy the book, I have decided to include some samples to wet your appetite with! I have picked a few favourites to share with you and the ones mentioned in the article that was printed in the Lancashire Evening Post earlier this year. In addition to this I have also included a new poem (Indestructible) this one was written during an emotional time in my life recently and I hope you will enjoy reading it even though it is a sad poem.

Lately It Seems
Lately I feel like I am drifting
Sailing in my own ocean, in my own boat,
To island of pure dreams,
To see you or so it seems.

Lately I feel trapped inside a bubble of inspiration,
Floating to my own cloud,
To a high of all highs,
To find you or so it seems.

Lately I feel you close to my heart,
Clearly seeing your eyes,
Tasting your sweet lips,
To feel you close or so it seems.

Lately I feel drawn to your emotions,
Drawn to your touch,
Drawn to your smile,
To love you, lately..... it seems.

Someday
my eyes so tired my words all spoken
my faith is lost
my heart is broken
dreams of freedom
and thoughts of you
push away the dark clouds
and make the sunshine true
yet time is so cruel
and fate fails to be kind
to free me from my burden
of a trapped lost mind
but someday i shall fly
and hold you in my arms
take away all the pain
protect your heart from harm

Wonder
Have you ever wondered who taught the birds to sing,
Why children play ?
Why you are you ?

Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if you had it all to yourself ?
What colour pants god wears,
What life would be like without you ?

Have you ever wondered how you fall for someone you don't know ?
How the spinning jennies swoop down from the top of the tree and fall at your feet,
How two people can share life and not fall out ?

Have you ever wondered, why we even wonder at all ?
Why, why why ?

Indestructible
A fragile mind
For such a complex world
A life unkind

A disease we cannot cure
Holding on to your life
Taking away all that is pure

A place in our hearts
To be remembered by
The end to our future starts

A life misunderstood
The light's just gone out
Please shed no more tears, blood

We are not indestructible dad
Just flesh and bones
For me, it's all too soon, so sad...
