Have you ever had a dream, within a dream? Or have you ever woke up from a dream and wanted to continue that dream the next night?

It might appear strange but I felt a connection to Christopher Nolan’s latest film Inception.I have vivid dreams almost every night. Some nights I dream so deeply I truly find it hard to wake up without a kick. Usually in the form of Emma literally kicking me “get up!”

I once had a vivid day dream at work, although I think it was alcohol induced from the night before – did anybody else wonder what that contraption in the silver briefcase was? I don’t think that part of the film was explained nor did we find out the year in which the film was set.

What we did see was the magical 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey – a home from home and I often dream that we will return to that place of grand architectural design.

If you haven’t yet seen inception then I strongly recommend that you do so immediately, it has to be one of the most thought provoking films with an ending that makes either complete or not so complete sense – one thing it does really well is make you think and from now on I am always going to carry a totem with me…. Hmmm what to choose!

This makes for a worthy first post.

Just like any lunch time at work I hop on the Battlefield and put on my DND and start showing the world how I roll.

Today stood out at quite possibly one of the best moments on the Battlefield that I have had in a very long time. The reason is simple, I somehow did not get killed once in an entire round!

As the screen above shows I ended up with lots of pins and a totally awesome 14 Kill to Death Ratio.

I must admit that when Bad Company 2 came out I was playing it non-stop. Sometimes I would play before work, during the lunch hour and way past my bed time. My addiction got so bad that I was dreaming about the Battlefield in my sleep, complete with red beret and shouting out “I need a medic!”. Let me tell you the missus was not impressed!

So I decided to stop playing it, and focus on a few other games that came out about the same time. One of which was Just Cause 2. Having played the first one on the PS2 and completing it over a weekend I was longing for a sequel. When the sequel came I thought my dreams had come true – so I put Battlefield to one side and inserted Just Cause 2 into the X360.

Just Cause 2 was fun for a day only, the sandbox environment was entertaining until the point that I realised getting around the map without a flying machine was going to be an utter ball ache. So I promptly put this back on the shelf and I’ll no doubt play it again when there is a nuclear holocaust and I’ve got nothing better to do than travel 5 mins from A-B in a slow tuk-tuk like vehicle.

From one sandbox to another, this time one with class action – quality online multiplayer and endless fun – oh and it’s not COD, viva la Battlefield!

By the time I had put the game back into my X360 everyone in my circle of friends had either ranked up to level “I’m a god 50″ or stopped around level 20 and gone off to play other games like DJ Hero – errrr why???

I decided that I would have to make a few new friends online, and rank up the classes that I had not touched. I started with the Sniper – made a few snipey friends and now most recently moved onto the Engineer class. Sniper for me is a class that you need to play tactically – I like to run and gun, a sniper needs to be calm and selective over the targets – Battlefield has taught me to be patient in an FPS Shooter – okay so maybe not that patient but as my k/d ratio above shows a mixture of run and gun and being calm = more points and less deaths – a worthy strategy for me to explore with the engineer class! Night all … zzzz … zzzz … zzzz …. I NEED A MEDIC!!! … zzzz ….
